Our beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, goddaughter and friend, Jessica Monique Sayon, age 32, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014. She was born on April 21, 1982 in San Antonio, TX to Joseph Anthony Sayon, Jr. and Debbie Duhart Sayon.
Jessica was a 2000 graduate of East Central High School where she was active on the Student Council and the Drill and Honey Bee Dance Team. She was also a member of the Top Teens of America.
She was intelligent, witty and had a persona that was dynamic when she entered a room. She possessed a reassuring presence with the church and its music program being an important part of her life.
In her early years, she attended Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the Pastorate of the late Rev. Emmett Smith and under Rev. John D. Kyle, Jr. where she sang and was an active member of the Youth Choir, and faithfully served on the Usher Board and served as Vice President of the Youth Department.
For over seven years, Jessica was employed at West Telemarketing as a Human Resource Specialist until her health began to fail.
Three years ago, God sent a very special person into Jessica's life. Christopher Jackson was devoted to her during her good and difficult times and when she became ill, he continued to love and care for her until God called her home. He was the love of her life who gave her emotional support and helped her live her final months with dignity, respect, and love.
Jessica had many interests among which she loved dancing and gardening; hummingbirds, cooking, hair design and caring for her pets ~ CJ, Tinkerbell and Little Bit.
Jessica's strong will to live, unwavering faith, love and prayers from family and friends carried her through several years of illness.
Her caring love, charm and spirit will be sorely missed by all those lives she touched.
Preceding her in death were her father, Joseph A. Sayon, Jr., grandparents, Joseph and Harvey Mae Sayon and Henderson Duhart.
She leaves to mourn ~ her beloved Christopher Jackson; parents, Arthur and Debbie Duhart-Anderson; grandmother, Audrey Duhart; uncles: Harry James (Beulah) Duhart, Lawrence (Janis) Duhart, Jonathan Sayon; Aunt Carolyn Thomas; Godparents, Joseph R. and Vickie King White and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23rd from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Porter Loring on McCullough.
