Jessie Amaro Dennis

Jessie Amaro Dennis was called to be with her Lord January 30, 2019. Jessie was an SAISD school librarian who loved children and books. Among numerous endeavors, she served on the KLRN Board ten years, as well as the San Antonio Teachers Benefit Board. She was active in the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, Bexar Librarian Association, Catholic Librarian Association and Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of the Franciscan order. Jessie loved to help others in need and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Jessie came from a large caring family. She is survived by her loving daughter Pamela Dial, husband John Dial, stepgranddaughter Dyllan Dial and stepgrandson Reid Dial, beloved niece Samantha Deitert, two sisters, Carmen Amaro and Paula Barrera, husband Ezekiel. Two brothers, Tony Amaro, wife Lupe deceased, and Robert Amaro, wife Corrine.

Preceded in death by her husband, Barron Dennis, Father Sabino Amaro, Mother Florentina Amaro, sisters Mary Amaro and Connie Rooney. Brothers Elias Amaro, wife Bertha, Arcadio Amaro, wife Stella, Frank Amaro, surviving wife Mary, and John Amaro, wife Evangelina.

The Rosary will be on Monday, February 4th 6 pm at Sunset Funeral Chapel--1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 5th 11 am at St. Pius X--3303 Urban Crest Drive, San Antonio TX 78209.

Private Burial at 2:45 pm. Family only.
