Jesus A. Velasquez

Jesus A. Velasquez, age 78 of San Antonio, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by his sons, Robert and Jessie Velasquez, Jr. Survivors: daughters, Erlinda Carrillo, Ernestina Garza, Mary Helen Chavez, Gloria Villarreal, Dora Velasquez and Molly Esquivel; sons, Arturo Velasquez and Felix Velasquez; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 5 great- great grandchildren; sisters, Olivia Salazar, Juanita Arroyo, and Margarita Hernandez; numerous nieces and nephews. Daddy, Grandpa you mean so much, I hope you realize how deeply we admire and respect you. Through your example you taught us kindness, wisdom and compassion. You always saw the world and all of us in it, with eyes of love and understanding. We are better people, because of the beautiful example you set for us. We will always love and miss you. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be held at 7:30 p.m. at Porter Loring Chapel. A procession will depart Porter Loring at 9:30 a.m. for a mass to be celebrated at St. Jude's Catholic Church on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in San Fernando Cemetery #2.
