Jewell C. "J.C." Dillard

Jewell C. “J.C.” Dillard, 82, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013. He was born in Scottsboro, AL on Feb. 12, 1930 to George and Cora Dillard Strong. He had retired from the United States Air Force and along with his other career paths, was a District Manager for Kentucky Fried Chicken. Mr. Dillard was preceded in death by a son, Jody in 1997. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marilyn Dillard; children, Michael Dillard and wife Jamey, Tony Dillard and wife Clee, Al Dillard and wife Sharlana, Terry Dillard and wife Rose, Darryl Dillard and wife Samantha; Chuck Dillard and wife Susan, Camille Dillard; 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; siblings, William Strong, Billie Jane Strong, Mary Kate Dillard, Robert Dillard and numerous nieces and nephews. The visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 9:15 A.M. at the funeral home. The interment with military honors will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
