Jim Tom "Rip" Neely, age 78, entered Heaven on Saturday, October 21st. He is preceded by his parents, Leroy and Neva Neely, his sister, LeeAnn and former wife, Diane Palmer Neely. He is lovingly survived by daughter, Misty Neely Cable and her sons, Slate and Landon; son Tyler Neely and his wife, Jayna and their children, Aspen and Palmer; and his sister, Dixie Richardson.
Jim always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone he came in contact with and was a true gentleman. He loved fishing, the outdoors, dancing and doing watercolor painting.
After graduating from Shamrock High School and Texas Tech University, Jim became a devoted husband, loving father and dedicated manager for Luby's Cafeterias where he held various managerial positions for over 30 years.
Upon retirement, he found himself still drawn to helping others in the service industries and worked for Aramark and HEB.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to your favorite charity.
