Jimmy P. Barta, age 76, passed away March 26, 2019 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on December 6, 1942 in Corpus Christi, TX to Jim and Elsie Barta. He was a loving husband father, grandfather, great- grandfather, great-great- grandfather, friend and world traveler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his best friend and devoted wife Mary Frances, his sons Bryan and David, his daughter Melody, and his many beautiful grandchildren.
Jimmy always had a special thing for each of us, for his kids Melody, Bryan, and David. He could say more with one eyebrow than he ever needed to say in words. Tiffany, those will officially always be Grandpa jokes, Jason and Jayden, will always have a special handshake just for them. Amanda and Sarah and Kristin will always be the noise makers. Jasmine, you'll have to find his boat and Jaslyne you're still can't eat all the mashed potatoes. Tammy and Jennifer, I guess you'll still be able to bend down at his grave and place the flowers and Anthony, that's still his truck, don't paint it. And with anything that happens, Francis is always involved.
Jimmy wasn't just kind and funny with his family. He spread his humor and genuine kindness to strangers and anyone met. He could go into a room and light it up with his silliness and positivity. Jimmy Barta was a great man and will be greatly missed.
