Jimmie Orlin Hester Sr.

Jimmie Orlin Hester, Sr. passed away unexpectedly Friday November 8, 2013 at the age of 72. He was born November 18, 1940 in Grayson, LA to the late Jimmie C. Hester and Myrtle Clark Hester. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was admired for his kindness, fairness and wit. He brought love and laughter to all who knew him. Jim was a well known and respected Finance and Insurance Director working at auto dealerships in and around San Antonio for 37 years before retiring in 2009. He was a devoted Catholic and was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Brenda Hester; children, Sherra McClelland & husband Mark of San Antonio, Jennifer Hester of San Antonio, Jimmie O. Hester, Jr. & wife Emily of Austin; grandchildren Tyler Hester and his wife Kristen, Ben McClelland and his girlfriend Shannon Flynn and Emily McClelland and her fiancé Brandon Breiten, and Lucy, Jack and Charlotte Hester. Survivors also include his brothers Odis Crozier Hester and his wife Tam of Bossier City, LA and Gene Hester of Monroe, LA and a loving nephew and 3 nieces.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday Nov. 12 from 5-9 with Rosary recited at 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am @ St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 6680 Crestway Drive, San Antonio, TX 78239, officiated by Fr. Octavio A. Muguerza.
