Joan was born in Crockett, Texas on July 3, 1946. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1967. She taught school in Albuquerque, NM for 24 years and completed her Master's in Counseling from the University of New Mexico. From 1976 to 1998 she was a devoted pastor's wife at Life Tabernacle in Albuquerque where her husband, Glenn, was the founding pastor.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff, particularly the 3rd floor, at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital for their kindness over the last 5 years. All that knew Joan came to love her and she will be greatly missed.
Joan is survived by her husband, Glenn; one son, Trey and his wife Elaine; two grand kids, Geni and Brenden; and her beloved sister, Janice Talbert and her husband Jim.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 am with the funeral to follow at 10:00 am at Porter Loring Mortuary North on Friday, June 23, 2017. Graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Pearsall City Cemetery on Friday as well.
