Joaquin Gonzalez

Joaquin S. Gonzalez was called home on September 15, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon and moved to the U.S. at the young age of thirteen. For over 40 years, he worked tirelessly to not only provide for his family but educate them on how to build projects from scratch. There was not a problem too big for him that he couldn’t solve with a simple solution of improvising with what materials he had in his possession. He not only was a problem solver but the patriarch of the Gonzalez family who instilled the values of hard work, dedication, and love. He is preceded in death by his parents Maria Luisa Sanchez and Gonzalo O. Gonzalez, his siblings Rosa G. Garcia, Lupe Gonzalez, and Alejandro Gonzalez. Joaquin is survived by his wife, his first love, Juana D. Gonzalez and their children: Araceli G. Gutierrez (Manuel), Leticia D. Gonzalez (Samuel), Miguel A. Gonzalez (Veronica), and Francisco J. Gonzalez (K9 Family Companion, Max), and grandchildren Lesly A. Gutierrez; Crystal N. Gutierrez, Dr. Amanda Gonzalez, Allison M. Gutierrez, and Larissa L. Gutierrez, and his siblings Emilio Gonzalez (Socorro), Rebecca G. Ortega (Antonio), Manuel Gonzalez (Irma), Gloria Gonzalez, and Irma Martinez (Victor); and many cousins and extended family members in successive generations. Funeral services will be private and only open for immediate family.
