Jody Mae Ehrhardt

Jody was born in San Antonio, Texas, on September 21, 1949, to father, David J. Ehrhardt and mother, Etelka C. Ehrhardt. After high school graduation in May 1967, she attended San Antonio College for one year, and in June 1968, Jody began her Civil Service career. She faithfully and honorably served the United States Department of Defense (Air Force) in a civilian capacity that spanned 43 years, from June 4, 1968, to December 31, 2011. During her tenure, she earned both a bachelor's and a master's degree.

Jody is preceded in death by her parents and the love of her life, her husband of 49 years, Robert (Andy) Allen Anderson. She is survived by her cousins, Ronald and Julia Glenewinkel of Seguin, Texas; Ruth Mittag of Riviera, Texas; and Yvonne Robbins of San Marcos, Texas; in addition to numerous lifelong friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 11:30 pm until 12:30 p.m. and a eulogy service at 12:15 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel at Porter Loring Mortuary, 101 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78212.

A committal service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas, 78209.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of San Antonio, Texas or the charity of choice.
