Jody was born at Fort Hood, Texas, and attended high school and played football in Brenham, Texas and Cypress-Fairbanks in Houston.
He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. He served in the United States Army. He later lived and worked in custom carpentry in Austin.
Jody was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne Ott Felvey. He is survived by his father, Joe M. Glover and wife, Jenny; sisters, Beth G. Newton and husband, Larry, Allison G. Balthrope and husband, Brett and Sallie F. Neal and daughter, Lauren, Katherine S. Felvey, Claire F. Spence and husband, Christian and daughter, Brooke; aunts, Lurton Scott, Olivia G. Harless and husband, Bob; and many other cousins.
