

Joe Lee was a proud father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was known for his love for his family and his passion for riding his Harley.
Born in Taft, Texas to Frank Lawrence Johnson Sr. and Manuela Garcia Johnson on February 2, 1963. Joe Lee was a resident of Aransas Pass, Texas from the young age of 10 through his late twenties, when he then moved on to make San Antonio, Texas his home. He was a master carpenter by trade and was always proud of the fact that he worked on many homes in the prestigious Dominion neighborhood in San Antonio Texas. Along with being a master carpenter he mastered the art of becoming a Harley mechanic and loved working on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and fixing his friends Harley’s when needed.
He will be remembered by many as a man who loved his family, loved to ride his Harley and feel the wind in his long hair, a good friend and a man who knew no stranger.
Joe Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Lawrence Johnson Sr. and Manuela Garcia Johnson, along with his baby daughter, Linda Johnson, his brother Pete Rey Hernandez and his nephew Angel C. Galvan.
Joe Lee is survived by his children, daughter Jessica Rodriguez (husband JR), son Joe Lee Johnson Jr., son Harley Johnson, and daughter Tori Jaynes; sisters Patricia Carbajal (husband Angel), and Linda Galvan (husband Jesse); brother Frank Lawrence Johnson Jr., his beloved Aunt Mary Infante and his honorary brother Bill Peoples; (10) grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew, and great-great nieces and also his best friends Corey Lipsey and Claude Duke.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025, 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78238.
