It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Joey Dixon-Julian, a woman whose endless kindness, love of life and beautiful spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Joey left us on December 14, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by friends and family who love her dearly.
Born on April 20, 1975 in Butler, Missouri, Joey lived a life full of purpose and compassion. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology and Chemistry/Pre-Med from Pittsburg State University. She furthered her education as the president of her Physician Assistant school class at Wichita State University before earning her Master’s degree from the University of Nebraska Medical School. Joey worked as a Physician Assistant at Advanced Aesthetics Lopez Plastic Surgery, where she earned a strong reputation for her professionalism and commitment to patient care - she had a special way of connecting with each patient in a deeply personal and loving way. Her compassionate nature, generous spirit, and genuine concern made her a beloved figure in the clinic and in the community.
A lover of adventure and travel, Joey created lasting memories with her family and friends, always making time for those she loved. She was a proud mother to her two beautiful children, Parker Rose and Reese Joseph Julian, who were her greatest joy. She packed a lifetime of mothering into her 15 years with them. Amidst her busy life, she also found peace in her love for reading, meditation and yoga.
Joey was a beacon of light in the lives of everyone she met. Her warmth and generosity were unmatched, and she had an extraordinary ability to make those around her feel truly seen and important. Her empathy and care for others were qualities that defined her life; she was genuine in every sense of the word. Her friendships, her words and actions all came from a place of sincerity and love. Joey lived with a heart open to the world, and in return, the world was blessed with her presence. Though she is no longer with us, her impact remains steady in the countless lives she touched, the memories she helped create, and the love she shared so freely. Joey will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who love her.
