I just wanted to also say that Mr.Broughton had a very firm handshake. Man when he would walk threw that door i thought to myself, "Here comes Mr.Broghton, just tuff out his handshake". God rest his soul. May he be in peace.

Dear Aunt Telise and Uncle John's family. May the special memories of Uncle John soon replace your sorrow with peace and joy. Sandy and I will truly miss Uncle John but his speical memory will be with us forever. With our Deepest Sympathy.

We noticed the obituary of John H. Broughton, Special Agent FBI Retired in the local newspaper February 10, 2007. He was a supervising Agent in the Denver Office when I was a clerk along with Frank Daniels and Tom Howard. He would have remembered all of us because we held him in the very highest regard. I believe Frank and Tom went on to become Special Agents -- I did not because I wore glasses and it was a no, no, at the time. I received my Accounting Degree from Colorado State University and went on to become an Officer with the United States Air Force with time totaling 39 1/2 years -- and still not being eligible for the General ranks because of time in grade. Nancy and I spent about seven years in San Antonio and regularly attended the First Presbyterian Church in San Antonio. I was Chief of Support Division for all of Lackland AFB. I also designed "PROJECT TRANSITION" for President Johnson -- but from Randolph AFB. Please accept Nancy and my sincere condolences for this great loss. My condolence to the family.It truly saddens me to know that such a kind person has passed. I had the pleasure of knowing Mr.Broughton from my time at the Plaza Club,I worked there as a waitress in 96-99.It was always wonderful to see the happiest couple walk in the club, Mr.Broughton proudly holding his wife, as they entered. He was such a gentleman, always treated me with the utmost respect. I would see them at many event's living it up, dancing and laughing the night away. Mrs. Broughton in her beautiful evening gown and Mr.Broughton in his tuxido looking very debonair. I remember telling myself," I hope I can grow old with my husband and find happiness just like theres".My Father and Mother just recentlly past away, my Father at the age of 89, just like Mr. Broughton. I know they lived life to the fullest,and now they are in peace. Take care Mrs. Broughton and God bless.

I knew John for many years in the FBI at Denver. He was a credit to the Bureau

We are very sorry for your loss. John was a fine man and we enjoyed him while he was at Central Presbyterian Church in Denver. My husband became an usher while John Broughton was the head of the usher staff at church. I also enjoyed meeting all of you when you came back to Denver for visits. He will be missed by many people I am sure. May God bless all of you and comfort you in the times ahead.

John, we at Central Presbyterian Church loved you, appreciated the work you did as an agent to protect Americans, and will miss you. Telise and daughters, you are in our prayers.

I arrived at Denver FBI in 1971. John was my supervisor until he retired. I thank him for all training he gave me and for helping me establish my career.
