He was from Atchison, KS, and has resided in San Antonio since 1947. He married his life long partner, Joyce Anne Rose on June 19, 1958. They recently celebrated their 45th year together. Jack retired from SBC with 32 ½ years service. He was known for his professionalism and dedication. He was very involved in the Episcopal Church where he served in all levels over the years. During his 40 year commitment to AA he set a high standard and earned the respect and friendship of hundreds of AA members and was known for his wisdom, leadership and wonderful sense of humor.
After his retirement, Jack enjoyed working at Viva Bookstore for 10 years, where he continued his lifelong passion for reading. He also liked travel and all forms of the Arts.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Joyce, numerous nieces and nephews and their families, and friends of every walk of life.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the doctor's and the 3rd floor ICU Staff of Santa Rosa Hospital for their tremendous care and concern during his month long stay.
