Juan (John) Lionel Gonzales born March 14, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas entered the house of the Lord on Saturday January 23, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. He is one of six children born to Beatrice and Juan Gonzales and father of one son. His parents Beatrice Trevino Gonzales and Juan Adame Gonzales, siblings Maria Gloria, Arthur, and Frank Gonzales preceded John in death.
John is survived by his wife Anna Marie Sanchez; son Ted Lionel Gonzales; granddaughters Beatrice Gonzales, Jazzmine Gonzales, and grandson Alessandros Gonzales and sisters Grace and Rosemary Gonzales and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
John is God’s gift of life to our families and friends. John is unconditionally loved and will be greatly missed though never forgotten for he lives in our memories.
Dearly missed, lives in memories and forever loved.
The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 1204 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237. Interment will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, only 50 guests will be allowed in the funeral home chapel.
Facial coverings are required at all times while in the building.
At Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, only 25 guests will be allowed at the Service. This will include the pallbearers and minister.
