John Gregory (Greg) Hamilton left this world at our Lord's request just a few days after his August 10th birthday. He was 74 years of age. He suffered much of late but was always hopeful, trusting, and faithful to God's Will. He is now at peace and we remember him as a gentle, compassionate and generous soul.
Greg was raised with a foundation of love, family and service modeled by his parents that he, in turn, grew and passed on to his family and all with whom he came in contact. He was blessed with an abundance of talent in so many areas, at times storyteller, artist, golfer, craftsman, comedian and chef – his brisket and spaghetti sauce were indeed legendary. His real talent was best demonstrated as husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.
His presence in our lives will always be cherished in our hearts. He touched each of us with a gentle spirit and selfless demeanor that exemplified his devotion to his Catholic faith. Prayer was always a vital and joyful part of his life and set a wonderful example for all he has left behind.
He is preceded in death by his wife Claudia Hamilton, parents Morris and Beatrice, and brother Terry. He is survived by his children, Mark and wife Dianna, Katie, Jenny and husband Jason, grandchildren Kent and Ellie, step-children Dan Sechrist and wife Renee, Julie Rael and husband Mike, Allison Camacho and husband Robert, grandchildren Rebecca, Addie, Ethan, Abigail, Isabel, Isaac, Ella, and Joseph, as well as brothers Don and Steve, sister Bernadette Hamilton-Brady, and numerous nieces and nephews.
