John Omar & Camille Agnes Storment

John Omar Storment, 80, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 20, 2024. He was surrounded by his daughter and his wife of 53 years. John was born on April 5, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas. He obtained his Science in Physics degree from University of Texas Austin – “Hookem Horns”. John was a wonderful father and great mentor. His successes in his career included Division head for Southwest Research, President of a local Engineering firm and his own company. John’s professional successes enabled him and his wife to retire a decade before retirement age. His hobbies were photography, gardening and reading. John’s reading resulted in a library of over 1,000 books associated with all sciences, politics, World War II and art. He was active in his residential community, local animal shelters, and a caretaker for his beloved wife. John’s passion was his relationship with his wife of 53 years.

Camille Agnes Storment, 86, joined the love of her life John Omar Storment within 8 days on Sunday, January 28, 2024. She was surrounded by her daughter and grandson. Camille was born on July 12,1937 in Galveston, Texas. She loved to travel to England every year until her health did not allow it; her first child Sandra was born and buried in England. Camille mastered so many arts and crafts it’s hard to find one she didn’t do. Camille was a Calligrapher and handmade every card she sent, and she was “Old School” she mailed a card for everything. Her seamstress skills were so amazing she designed and made all her daughters formal occasion gowns and her husband’s professional suits. She made caps and crocheted bears for NICO infants for local hospitals. Camille’s passion was her relationship with her husband of 53 years.

John and Camille are survived by their daughter Camille (Toni); Grandchildren: Thomas and John; Great Grandchildren: Summer, Luke, AnnMarie, Raymond, Elissa and Thomas Jr.; Siblings: Reva and John, Ritch, Herbert, Nieces and Nephews: Cecil and Sara, Patsy and Doug, Jeanne and Traci, Carolyn, Dennis, Bruce, Kathy. Great Nephews and Nieces; Austin and Julia, Zach and Edna, Joel, Gabriella and Sam, Anthony, Rebecca, Ashlyn, Zoey, Audry, and Charles. They were predeceased by John’s parents Omar and Ethal, Camille’s Parents Harry and Reva, Camille’s children Sandra and Raymond, John’s sister Dorothy, and Camille's brother Harry.
