John Weldon Peacock

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dianna Peacock, and his parents, Judy Kay Miller and John Waymon Peacock. John is survived by his sons Michael (Rachel) Hernandez, Robert (Lisa) Ghavidel, Steven (Veronica) Ghavidel and Fred Ghavidel; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Nathan, Aaron, Noah, Stephanie, and Sophia; Siblings Melanie Young, Rhonda Markham, David Davis, Gary Norris, David Norris, and Mark Norris; Stepmothers Wanda Peacock and Jane Armstrong, and loving friends.

John was born in Lubbock, Texas and attended school in Alpine, Texas. He spent much of his life living in West Texas before moving to the San Antonio area.

He served in the United States Marine Corps and explored multiple careers, including various sales positions in which he sold freight liner trucks, wine, and most recently, homes. Despite many years of on the job experience and training, John almost vehemently resisted the modern technology age. Lets just say he avoided it and preferred doing things "old school."

John and his beloved wife, Dianna shared many common interests. They both loved to cook, hunt, and spend time at the ranch. Their mutual love of animals resulted in a Dr. Doolittle style home with two birds (Beaker and Xena) and five dogs (Zoey, Hallie, Red, Daisy and Nina). John loved adding to his extensive marble collection, riding his new motorcycle, spending time with his grandkids, and playing poker, but most of all, he and Dianna cherished yearly family trips to Lake Tahoe as family was their top priority.

John had a warm personality that seamlessly pulled people into his circle, and he always made people feel welcome. His kind heart and loving nature will remain in the hearts of all who loved him and he will be greatly missed.
