John Lee Reynolds

John Lee Reynolds, age 89 of San Antonio, TX passed away, surrounded by family on April 24, 2004. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Marguerite Hynes Reynolds. He is survived by his children JoAnne Stackhouse, John Lee Reynolds, Jr., James Richard Reynolds, Joseph Michael Reynolds and his wife, Kathy, and Jeanne E. Reynolds. He also is survived by 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, who all know him as Papa John.

After a childhood in Burnet, TX, at age 16 he became a caddy at Hillcrest Golf Club of San Antonio. At age 18 he became a golf pro. Mr. Reynolds began his campaign to fulfill his dream of owning his own business at age 23. He began as a salesman at Straus-Frank Co. He served for 23 years rising to the position of General Manager.

In the early 60's he moved to Denver, Co. and served as president of Hendrie & Bolthoff Co. In the late 60's he served as Vice President of marketing at C.A. Norgen Co.

In the early 70's he achieved his dream by opening Automotive Factory Warehouse. He retired in San Antonio in the early 80's. Through the years family, friends, and golf remained his passion.
