Jack, Dad, Papa was known by many names but all recognized him as a gentle giant with a loving heart and kind soul. As a founding member of St. Luke's Catholic Church, he was a lifetime member of the Men's Club, a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, Scoutmaster of Troop 405, CYO coach, and active in many other church organizations that benefited from his generosity.
Jack worked for Southwestern Bell for nearly 40 years and maintained lifelong friendships with the telephone Pioneers. Jack was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan, but most importantly, he was committed to his family and faith.
Jack and his loving wife of 62 years, Joan, were married on Valentine's Day in 1953 and have three children: Jack III (Roxy), David (Karie), Sharon (Jose); eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Julie (James and Laszlo), Adam (Carina, Cadence, and Connor), Kelly (Mason and Gianna), Jonny, Ryan, Sydney, Alex, and Daniel (RIP).
The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at St. Luke's Catholic Church.
