He was born July 14, 1924, to John and Martha Shelburne.
John and his wife, Frances, were residents of Laurel, Mississippi for over 20 years and were also members of the First United Methodist Church. He proudly served in the US Navy and was a Special Agent with the FBI for over twenty years. He and his wife had recently relocated to San Antonio.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will greatly be missed by all who loved and knew him.
John is survived by his loving wife, Frances Shelburne; daughter, Martha R. Stanley; sons, John and Michael Shelburne; and 1 grandchild.
Services will be held in Laurel, Mississippi under the direction of Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 3100 Audubon Dr., Laurel, Mississippi 39440, 601 428-5235.
