CMSGT John O. Smith, Jr. passed into eternity on December 10, 2010 in San Antonio, TX. John was a veteran of Korea & Viet Nam, retiring from the USAF after serving from August 27, 1949-August 31, 1975. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Smith and his wife, Mary. John is survived by his wife, Joan; son, Robert Gene Smith,; granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Taylor and husband, Ryan; great-grandsons, Tristan Pharr, Dylan Taylor; daughter, Carin Crozier & husband, Terry; brothers, Julian Smith and wife, Sybil, Bill Smith and wife, Terry; numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, with full Air Force honors.
