John Charles Sutton, age 64, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013. He was born in Knoxville, TN on July 17, 1948 to Flint R. and Rosa Marie Katherine Winkle Sutton. Mr. Sutton had retired from the United States Army and had retired from the Bexar County Sherriff’s Department at the Bexar County Jail in December 2011 after 23 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anneliese Sutton; children, Nathanael Sutton and wife Shannon, Carlie Sutton Gibbs and husband Gary, Joel Mortensen Sutton and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Tyler Strange, Jake Strange, Kaylee Sutton, Rauri Sutton, Dayne Charles Gibbs, Dylan Charles Sutton; sister, Susan Gascho; niece, Tracy & Billy Thompson. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at Faith Assembly of God, 8023 Huebner Rd. The graveside service and interment with military honors will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:15 A.M. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd.
