I had the privilege of meeting Mr. White through his loving daughter, my college roommate.  We made several roadtrips to San Antonio and I was charmed by his wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh and smile - a few of the many qualities that Rhonda inherited from him. I know that he is sorely missed, but for him - a believer in Christ, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.  My family prays that Mr. White's precious wife and family will find the comfort that only Christ provides.

Mr. White was a very special and gracious man which I will always remember.  I worked with Mr. White at Northside ISD for many years.  I enjoyed having a converstion with him and hearing him laugh. To Mr Whites family:  I worked with Mr White at Northside in the accounting dept. for several years, and had the pleasure of getting to hear his wonderful stories about his family. I loved asking him about his granddaughters.  He had great pride in all they have done, all of their successes, and their plans for their futures.  He loved talking about his gardens.  One of my favorite stories was how he caught the squirrels and carted them off to a park because they kept eating his bird food.  I enjoyed his chats very much and will miss him greatly.  He was a joy to have around and we all looked forward to his visits.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

To Steve:  My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your Dad. I remember him as a true gentleman who always had a time to share a comment or make someone laugh. It was an honor and a pleasure to know him. He will be greatly missed by all.  May his soul rest in peace.

John White my hero. Such a gracious and loving gentleman. We met in 1973 while he searved as Northside ISD Tax Assessor and Collector and have been fast friends ever since. Our prayers and thoughts go to John White's family at the loss of such a wonderful Christian man.  It was an honor and privilege to know and work for him.  Mr. White was always fair, compassionate and understanding.  He had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh.   He loved his family dearly and proudly shared their accomplishments with us. His employees were always considered a part of his extended family.  Maxine and family, thank you so very much for sharing this sweet man with his NISD family for so many years. He will be truly missed but will live on in all the lives he touched.  Now he sleeps in the arms of His Lord who he served with such fervor.   Love to all the family.

John is one of my personal heroes.  I've worked in the  Bexar County Tax Assessor's Office for 37 years and when we worked together he constantly impressed me with his knowledge and his wit .  His smile could light up a room and his laugh was contagious. He was a man of honor and I will never forget him. Your family is in my prayers.
