Jose Escalante Coronado, age 94, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas. He is preceded in death by his sons, Alejandro and Javier Escalante. Survivors include his wife, Maria C. Escalante; children, Olga O. Escalante, Jose Escalante, Alicia Escalante, Rosalinda Escalante and Giberto Escalante; and other loving family. Visitation will take place from 5-9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Albert Suarez Escalante, nephew, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
