Jose D. Escobar Sr. passed away April 2, 2013 at the age of 89. He is preceded in death by his parents Fidela and Matilde and his wife Isabel. He is survived by his sons Jose D. Jr. (Shirley), Arturo; daughter Anna M Lee (Kurt); brothers Juan and Pedro; sister Theresa Martinez; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, numerous extended family and friends. Jose was a World War II Navy veteran and a retired electrician from Kelly AFB. He will be extremely missed. A visitation will begin, Sunday, April 7, 2013, 4:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home, Monday, April 8, 2013 at 9:45 am for a 10:00 am Mass to be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Von Ormy, Texas with interment to follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
