Jose is survived by daughter Griselda Garcia; son Rosendo Gonzalez; daughter Beatriz Villa; daughter Rocio Zaraza; and son Jose Luis; brother Bernardo Rivera, brother Santos Rivera, brother Jose Rivera, brother Raymundo Rivera, sister Alicia Rivera, sister Antonia Rivera and sister Maria Luisa Rivera. Numerous grandchildren.

Jose was preceded in death by father Marcelo Rivera and mother Ramona Mata.

A visitation for Jose will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the chapel of Prayer.
