Jose G. Martinez

Jose was very knowledgeable in building houses and apartments from the bottom up. Jose moved in with his daughter Beatrice and her family on October 2019. Jose build his own little efficiency studio home all by himself. Jose finished his home on January 2021. We were all very proud of him. He was a very extraordinary hard working man. Jose loved helping people. Jose would do a lot of job side for free. Jose was an outdoors man he loved doing the yard work and maintaining it. Jose loved going to his school as he called it at the Doris Griffin Senior Center. Jose received Jesus Christ in his heart as his Lord and Savior guided by Pastor Nelson Herrera from United By Grace Baptist Church. Jose loved going to church. He later was Baptist and became a member of the Church. Jose was loved by everyone and will be missed. Josed loved his family and his family loved him.

He is survived by his children; Beatrice M. Merlos (Marcos), Joe Martinez (Martha) and Adrian Martinez (Angelique); grandchildren, Beatrice Cole (Michael), Mark Merlos, Moises Merlos, Joseph Martinez, Adrian Martinez Jr., Joey Martinez, Angelique Martinez, Lauren Martinez, Matthew Martinez and Gabriel Martinez; great grandchildren, Malachia Merlos, Saphire Merlos, Nehemiah Merlos, Madison Cole and McKenzie Cole; siblings, Porfirio Martinez and Amparo Martinez.

The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The Chapel Service will be conducted on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with The Rev. Nelson Herrera officiating. Services will conclude in the chapel.
