Jose Angel Massiatte Sr.,”Popo”, was born on November 02, 1922 in Saspamco, Texas. He was called home to be with the Lord, on December 29, 2013 at the age of 91. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Helen Rios Massiatte, brothers; Serafin Jr., Apolinar, George, sister Mary Ward, and parents Serafin Sr. & Margarita Massiatte. Jose is survived by his beloved daughter Mary Helen Trevino (Martin III), son Jose Massiatte Jr. (Maria), grandchildren; Gina Marie Macias(Michael), Martin “Marty” Trevino IV (Audrey), Michelle I. Massiatte, Stephanie H. Massiatte, great grandchildren; Max Michael Macias, Jack Martin Macias and Juliana Marie Trevino. Visitation will begin Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home 2525 Palo Alto Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 10:45 a.m. for a 11:15 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Joseph South San Catholic Church with interment to follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
