Jose Gonzalez Reyna

Jose “Pepe” Gonzalez Reyna, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. He was born in Pozas de Santa Ana, Guadalcazar, San Luis Potosi on Sunday, September 9, 1951, to Bernarda Reyna Limon and Benito Gonzalez (both deceased). He was preceded in death by Rafael Gonzalez Reyna, brother, and Maria del Rosario Gonzalez Reyna, sister. Jose is survived by his children, Giovanna Moraes (Gonzalez Galvez), Jose Alfredo Gonzalez Galvez, Elizabeth Gonzalez Galvez, Jorge Armando Gonzalez Galvez, and Claudia Marisol Gonzalez Galvez; siblings, Juventina Gonzalez Reyna, Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez Reyna, Antonia Gonzalez Reyna, Catalina Gonzalez Reyna, Benito Gonzalez Reyna, Juan Gonzalez Reyna, and Josefina Gonzalez Reyna; his grandchildren, Saul, Christian, Cynthia, Arnulfo, Aimee, Juliet, Richard, Diego, Isabella, Sebastian, Miah, and Gianna; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Mateo, Sophia, and Maximo; and all of his nieces and nephews. After a long absence he will be buried in the city he loved and always yearned to return to, San Antonio, Texas. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
