Joseph "Abel" Bush

Resident of San Antonio, Texas

After a courageous 4 year battle with cancer, Abel passed away peacefully at his home in San Antonio. Abel was born in San Antonio and raised in Louisiana, graduated from Waxahachie High School and North East Louisiana University. He was one of three sons born to the late Joseph Madison and Evangeline Bush. He was a Father to his treasured beloved daughter Caroline Madison and husband of Rosanne for over 28 years,.

Abel will forever be remembered by his devoted brothers Robert Lee and, and James William, nephews Joseph Randal and Kyle Ryan, sister in law Rachel, along with countless other close friends and family whom were blessed to know him.

An avid sports fan Abel loved listening to a variety of music, laughing, being with his family, having fun with friends, working with his non- profit sports league Texas Team Sports that he founded and his most precious time was spent with his beautiful daughter Madison. He was an executive director for the YMCA in Houston prior to founding his own sports league. Abel touched the lives of many people with his smile, unique since of humor. He maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end of his battle with the cancer. Friends and family are invited to attend a small memorial service on Monday the 19th, 2015, at 2:30 pm at Sunset Funeral home, 1701 Austin Hwy. San Antonio, Texas 78218.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to assist with his funeral cost.
