Joseph "Joe" Marfil

Joe (Joseph) Marfil entered into eternal rest on April 26, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 74. Joe was born in Brighton, Colorado but raised in San Antonio, Texas by his aunt, Mercedes Villanueva whom he called mom.

Joe graduated from Memorial High School. He worked for 41 years at Lackland AFB. During his younger years he loved playing pool. He spent lots of time at home listening to oldies and country music and watching movies. He loved dancing and enjoyed going deep sea fishing.

He was preceded in death by his mom Mercedes Villanueva; birth parents, Amalia and Joe Marfil; brothers Jesse and Robert Marfil and Victor Villanueva; and sister Dorothy Guerrero.

He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Marfil and his sons, Joseph Marfil III., James Marfil and Andrew Marfil. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria Marfil; girlfriend, Almaiza Gutierrez; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation for Joe will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237, followed by a holy rosary at 7:00 PM.
