

He attended Central Catholic High School and St. Mary's University for 2 years before beginning his serving in the US Army in 1954. He served 2 years as a radio operator-maintainer in Germany during the Korean War. After returning from his service, he finished his university education at St. Mary's University with a BS in Business Administration.
On December 1, 1956, he wed his sweetheart Shirley M. Morin in San Antonio and nearly reached their 60th year anniversary before she passed away in September of 2016.
He is survived by his sons and daughters Joseph F. Schreiber III of Spring Branch (Debra J. Schreiber), Scott M. Schreiber of Stone Oak (Heather Schreiber), Tori M. Kormanik of Long Beach, CA (Joseph D. Kormanik, Jr.) and D'Ann M. Wright of Richardson (Geoff Wright); as well as his only brother Ronald Schreiber (Jane Schreiber) of Fair Oaks Ranch.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Joseph F. Schreiber IV (Patricia Clark-Schreiber), Benjamin S. Schreiber, Jessica K. Schreiber, Andrew M. Schreiber, Emily E. Schreiber, Kathleen C. Wright, Camille R. Wright.
A private family memorial will be scheduled at a future date. He will be interred at St. Joseph's Church of Honey Creek.
