Jody is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Sophia Vellas. He has lived with his sister, Georgiana, for 31 years. He will always be remembered for his heart full of love and kindness. Everyone was his friend.
He is survived by his sister, Georgiana V. Hudspeth; friend Gene C. Dow; nephews, Paul Hudspeth Saundra, Don Hudspeth, Jr.; great-nephew, Gage Hudspeth; great-nieces, Collette and Meagan Hudspeth; plus numerous cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The ARC of Texas, Special Olympics or St. Jude Research Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
