

Ms. Josephine Basaldua, born on August 9, 1930, passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 95. She was a resident of San Antonio, Texas. Josie Woh lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and love for family. For many years, she worked faithfully as a nurse’s aide assistant, caring for others with kindness and quiet strength. Her work was more than a job—it was a reflection of her generous heart and commitment to helping those in need.
After retiring, Josie enjoyed the freedom to travel and make cherished memories. She especially loved going to the beach with her sister and family, where she found joy, laughter, and peace in their time together.
Josie will be remembered for her caring spirit, her devotion to her work, and the love she shared with those closest to her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Julia Casanova, sons, Gilbert Basaldua, Joe Basaldua, daughter, Olga Basaldua, siblings, Mary C. Reyes, Elosie Casanova, Jesse Casanova, and Ernest Casanova.
Josephine is survived by 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on January 23, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a prayer service to begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow immediately at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, TX 78073.
