Josephine Angeline Bossi

She attended San Fernando Catholic School and St. Mary's Catholic High School. Her first job was with the San Antonio Housing Authority; she worked in the Registrar's office at Trinity University; and after a long career she retired from the Internal Revenue Service.

A devout Catholic, she was a lifelong member of the San Francesco di Paola Altar and the Rosary Society; Legion of Mary; Sodality of Our Lady; Catholic Daughters of America and was a dedicated meatball roller for the Italian Spaghetti Dinners at the Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marie Bossi, Emma Bossi Sanchez (A.P. Sanchez); and brothers, John L. Bossi, Jr. (Josephine M. Bossi) and Rev. Louis J. Bossi, C.M.F.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Rosemary S. Marotta; John L. Bossi, III; Louis J. Sanchez; Josephine (Jay) Sanchez; Carol Thompson (Paul); Cindy Holzbach (Greg); Debbie Nutt (Michael); Michael J. Sanchez; Matthew J. Sanchez and several great, great nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be recited on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 6:30 p.m., in the chapel at Porter Loring on McCullough. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at 10:00 a.m. at San Francesco Di Paola Catholic Church, 205 Piazza Italia followed by interment in San Fernando II Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George Gisin, Michael Sanchez, Paul Thompson and Sean Nutt.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Kin Care Assisted Living and VITAS Hospice for their compassionate care of Josephine.
