

Josephine "Josie" Pruski Carter, age 63, suddenly passed away on Tuesday, July 4 in San Antonio, Texas. Josie was born in Kenedy, Texas on March 15, 1954 to Cecilia and Isidore Pruski. She was a graduate of Falls City High School and longtime affiliate of the Title community in San Antonio.
Those that were lucky enough to know her, would all agree that she will be remembered as an incredibly selfless, genuine, accepting, loyal, and kind person. When she wasn't being a devoted employee and friend to her many customers, Josie loved any opportunity to spend time with her beloved children, large family and many longtime friends. Her family and friends could always count on her to be present at all their important moments, whether a last minute dinner, Beaver football game, or impromptu visit that went well into the evening. She also enjoyed picking vegetables from her garden, watching the San Antonio Spurs, and going to church picnics. She was an incredible person and has left behind many sweet and blessed memories in many people's hearts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Isidore Pruski; brother, Mark Pruski and a nephew, Al Pruski. Josie is survived by her son, Paul Carter; daughter, Tracy Carter; son-in-law, Nicholas Medina; mother, Cecilia Pruski; brother Alex Pruski; sister, Christine Kotara (Johnny); sister Joyce Stanush (Daniel); brother Jerry Pruski (Sunny); brother Michael Pruski (Julie); and grandchild Kavin Carter. She is also survived by host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. till 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
