Josephine L. Perez

Josephine L. Perez, daughter of Manuel Lopez and Juana Lopez, born in San Antonio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Sorrento By Cantex Continuing Care Network on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the age of 98.

Josephine worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Robert B. Green Hospital, Santa Rosa Hospital and Brooke Army Medical Center, from which she retired at the age of 70. She was an Avon Representative for 65 years winning numerous awards and recognitions. She cooked for the family every weekend until age 94. She loved to listen to the musicians at Mi Tierra Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Perez; daughters, Josie Fernandez and Margaret Robinson. She is survived by her daughter, Esther Cantu and husband, David; son, Richard L. Perez, Jr; sons-in-law, Gilbert Fernandez and Ron Robinson; granddaughters, Rosalinda Young, Elizabeth Hernandez and husband, Adam II, and Veronica Fernandez; and grandson, Gilbert Fernandez, Jr; great grandchildren, Brandon, Angelique and Isabella Young, Nicole, Adam III and Aaron Hernandez and Zachary Fernandez and great-great-granddaughters, Dahlia Fernandez and Alana Hernandez.

The family thanks the staff of Harbour Hospice for their care and support.
