

She was born July 23, 1920 in San Antonio to Reagan and Ettie Kincaid Houston. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, attended the University of Texas, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and graduated from Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, NY.
She married Andrew Zilker Thompson September 29, 1942 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church where they have remained life members.
She was a past president of the Junior League of San Antonio, a member of the Battle of Flowers Association, Military-Civilian Club, the Fenwick Club, the Forum and the Magna Carta Dames, as well as the San Antonio Country Club and the Argyle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Reagan Houston, III.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years; her daughters, Ann T. Coiner, Sally T. Gorham, Lucy T. Hall and Josephine T. Shaw and husband, Ted; grandchildren, Andrew Thompson Gorham, Amy G. Case and husband, Chad, Emily C. Foster and husband, Trey, Josephine C. Dorris and husband, Taylor, William E. Hall, II, Gray H. Hall, Jessica S. Ivy and husband, Jack and McLean H. Shaw; and 6 great grandchildren.
