

Joshua was a young man with a great heart and with many accomplishments. He graduated from Pleasanton High School second in his class. An outstanding athlete, Joshua won district in the 1 & 2 mile. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of the Incarnate Word and completed coursework towards his Master's Degree. An incredibly bright man, he was the first ever freshman to receive the Excellence in Biology Award from UIW.
Joshua brought a smile to the face of everyone he encountered. Full of wit and quick with a smile, Joshua was a friend to all. He was an avid outdoorsman and was known for the many trophy fish and deer he brought home. Joshua loved music and composing. He wrote hundreds of songs and performed numerous times. He will always be remembered for his generosity and desire to help others.
He loved playing open mic with his friends at Bharmacy, where he was a regular. He loved painting. He was lovingly called "Joshy Smiles" by his friends.
Joshua is survived by his parents, Harry and Christine Garison of Pleasanton, Texas; brother, Jonathan Garison and his wife, Iordanka of Corpus Christi; sister, Annie Prezas and her husband, John, of Corpus Christi; brother, Benjamin Garison of San Antonio; numerous nieces and nephews; and hundreds of friends.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, June 5, 2017 beginning at 10:00AM at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 102 Lorenz, 78209. The recitation of the Rosary will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by the Funeral Mass to begin at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Jonathan Garison, Benjamin Garison, John Prezas, Steven Rouse, Kevin Warnken, Colton Young, and Marcos Solis-Wheeler.
