Joyce "Mum" Bond

Joyce "Mum" Bond, age 82, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Mum was a vibrant and loving soul who touched the lives of all who knew her with her warm heart and sharp wit. She was the kind of person who could light up a room with a smile and a story, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

A Reception in Mum’s honor will be held Monday, December 16, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218, where family and friends can gather and share their favorite stories and moments. A visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. Mum would have appreciated this time of joy, food, and laughter as a fitting tribute to her spirited nature.

A Committal Service will follow on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 2:30 PM to 2:50 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209, where she will be laid to rest with the respect and dignity she deserved.

Mum's infectious spirit, her sense of humor, and her unwavering love for her family and friends will be missed more than words can express.
