She was born in Austin, Texas on April 13, 1929 to Leif and Alberta Moursund. A resident of San Antonio since 1949, she was a long time member of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church.
Joyce attended the University of Texas and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and the San Antonio Conservation Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter Peggy Joyce. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Glenn B. Quick; son, Randall G. Quick and his wife Pam of Coppell, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Krista Michelle Quick and Garrett Randall Quick; two brothers, Earl Moursund of Eugene, Oregon, Kenneth C. Moursund and wife Claudia of Houston, Texas.
