Joyce D. Slocum

Joyce D. Slocum, aged 66, passed away on the 3rd of March, 2024. Born on April 24, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, Joyce was a distinguished alumna of Southern Illinois University and the St. Louis University School of Law. Her commitment to her studies and career was surpassed only by her dedication to her family and friends.

Joyce leaves behind her beloved mother, Doris MacDaniel, her brothers, J. Michael Slocum (wife Diane) and Greg Slocum (wife Nancy), nephews Ben Slocum and Zach Slocum (wife Jill), nieces Dr. Chloe Slocum (husband Dr. Edward Wei) and Dr. Phoebe Slocum (husband Dr. Jeremy Anderson) and a community of friends and family whose lives she touched deeply.

With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Joyce, a woman of integrity and warmth, whose presence will be profoundly missed.
