Juan M. De Leon Sr., born on April 3, 1947, to Manuel and Josefina DeLeon, entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Juan lived a full and meaningful life centered around service, family, and community.
Juan proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, completing Active Duty from 1967–1969, and continued his commitment through the U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard. He later worked as a machinist at Kelly Air Force Base, where he formed lifelong friendships and took great pride in his work.
A devoted family man, Juan embraced the simple joys that made life meaningful. He loved settling in to watch football and cheer on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, often surrounded by family. Even the everyday moments—like his frequent trips to H-E-B—became treasured memories, filled with laughter, familiar faces, and the quiet comfort of routine. Juan poured his heart into supporting his children and grandchildren. He was a proud band booster with his two sons and his granddaughter Brianna, a committed cheer booster alongside his daughter Cecilia, and a Little League coach who encouraged every child as if they were his own. Some of his happiest times were spent playing basketball and volleyball with his brothers and family, sharing the kind of joy that comes from being together. Juan’s presence brought warmth to every moment, and those memories will forever be held close by the ones he loved.
Juan is reunited in heaven with his parents, Manuel and Josefina De Leon, along with his brothers; Xavier De Leon and Jose De Leon (Irma) and sister Maria Vara (Daniel).
Juan's memory will forever live in the hearts of his loving wife of 53 years, Cecilia L. De Leon; his children; Juan Jr.(Guadalupe), Alberto (Cathy), and Cecilia; his grandchildren Brianna, Joshua, Matthew, Gabriella, and Angelica. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Jesse (Linda), Felipe (Diana), George (Patricia), Richard (Yolanda), Rosie Rodriguez (David), Albert (Elizabeth), Teresa Juarez(Cesar), Eddie (Rose De Leon), and Alfredo (Sylvia De Leon). Juan leaves behind numerous cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold his memory close.
Juan will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, generosity of spirit, and the love he shared so freely with everyone blessed to know him.
