Juanita P. Ferro, age 94, passed away November 2, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in San Benito, Texas on June 25, 1918 to Pedro and Jacinta Puentes. She was preceded in death by her son, Manuel Lomas and is survived by her husband Joe G. Ferro; son, Francisco Lomas; daughters, JoAnn Luna, Corina Ortega and husband Robert; daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Lomas; grandchildren, Melanie Villarreal, Bernard Lomas, Salina Lomas, Isabella Luna, Gioia Luna, Lauren Ortega, Vincent Ortega, David Lomas, Cindi Seelig, Gregory Lomas, Gabriel Lomas and Abel Lomas; 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 N. Grissom Rd with Rev. Msgr. Patrick Cronin officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
