

Judith Porter, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born to Erma and Perry Johnson on September 5, 1945 in North Carolina. On March 17, 1963 she married Larry E. Porter, and they shared 28 years together. She took great joy in her travels as a military wife. Her most recent and "dream" trip was to Hawaii in 2015. Judith was a very strong, spiritual woman and who even in her final years taught her daughters to be strong, persevere, and embrace life. Judith enjoyed gardening, beading, and arts & crafts. She was preceded in death by, her parents and husband, Larry E. Porter. Judith is survived by her daughters who reside in Texas, Lisa Nunez (Bert), and Denise Pepper (Frank); grandchildren, Matthew Nunez (Tara), Joshua Nunez, and Tristan Pepper; great grandchildren, Brenden, Aubree, Marcus, Camdyn, and Kynzleigh. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Clark (Allen) of Fayetteville, NC; Sister-n-law, Raetta Porter of Cambridge Springs, PA; Brother-n-law, Russel Wilson of Cambridge Springs, PA; best friend, Susie Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rev. Randy Houston will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date in Fayetteville, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association and/or to Childhood Leukemia Foundation.
