Julia Camargo Davila

Julia C. Davila, loving Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and friend to so many, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025. She was born on July 30, 1934. Julia was the steady, warm heart of her family whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew her.

Julia will be remembered as a strong woman of faith, who loved without holding back. You only had to meet her once and that was it, you were cared and prayed for forevermore. She found joy in being with family. Traveled near and far to be with loved ones, and whenever she could, care for others.

Julia is survived by her sister Antonia C. Aguilar (husband Antonio); three children: Dolores Davila, Manuel Davila (wife Armandina), Jose Camargo (wife Lourdes); eight "official grandchildren" (only say official because she loved many, many "hijos, nietos and nietas" that she met along the way) Manuel Davila III (Beto),Jose Rapalo (wife Melissa),Daniel Davila (wife Samantha), Gabriela Davila (husband Andres), Kellie Wright (husband Trey) Abel Davila, Crystal Camargo and Leslie Camargo; Great Grandchildren: Sophia Davila, Ariana Davila, James Davila, Amaris Davila, Alayah Julia Davila, Alec Davila, Julia Loraine Wright, Adrian Gonzalez, Aiden Gonzalez and Allecity Gonzalez; and many, many, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Dolores Camargo, brothers: Jose Camargo, Indalecio Camargo, Martin Camargo, Alberto Camargo, Rafael Camargo and Juan Camargo.

Julia never met a living soul she didn't want to immediately feed and love. She was famous for her tamales and bunuelos that many, many generations of family and friends enjoyed.

A Visitation will be held on December 29, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm.

A Processional will depart from the funeral home at 9:20 am for a Church Service on December 30, 2025, at 10:00 am at SA Life Church, located at 4424 SW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78227.

The Committal Service will follow at San Fernando Cemetery III, located at 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226.
