Kathryn Meghan Hill, daughter of General (R) Tom Hill and Dr. Toni Hill, and sister of 1LT Griffin Hill, passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, April 18, 2013 after an extended illness.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on December 7, 1978, she moved with her family 13 times across the United States.
Meghan was a joy filled person who had an openness to others and an appetite for life that was unrivaled. With joy and a healthy sense of humor,
Meghan inspired those around her to take the time to simply be delighted in those things that make us all happy--beautiful music, fun adventures with friends and family, and good food.
She inspired many caregivers to join the special education and the medical professions.
Lessons of acceptance and unconditional love she taught every day, without ever saying a word. Her legacy, even in death, continues to positively influence those whose paths she crossed.
Knowing her was a gift.
In addition to her parents and brother, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Odene McOwen of El Paso; her maternal grandmother, Bette Griffin of Boerne; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
