Karen Alyce Stein Duross

Karen was born February 16, 1950 in Laredo, TX to Alfred and Alyce Stein and was the youngest of three children. She spent the first 11 years of her life in Monterrey, MX with her parents, siblings, and grandparents. The family moved to San Antonio, TX in 1962 where she would later graduate from Robert E Lee High School in 1968. Karen worked as the Accounts Receivable Manager at Interim HealthCare in San Antonio for 20 years.

Throughout her life, nothing brought her as much happiness and pride than sharing the accomplishments and joys of her kids and grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence "Pat" Duross, parents Alfred and Alyce Stein and brother Harvey Stein.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Bob Duross of San Antonio, three children Karl Wright (Rachel) of Corpus Christi, Eric Wright of San Antonio, and Leslie Lee (Jason) of Corpus Christi, twelve grandchildren Kirsten, Kaylen, Kelsey, Kaleb, Luis, Annie, Raquel, James, Haley, Max, Sheridan, and Hayden, one niece and three nephews.

Visitation will begin at 9:30am on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:30am that same day at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 12:00pm.
